To report an incident of racial discrimination against anyone in New Mexico Schools: call 505-827-5800, submit an email here or complete online form here. This form is provided as a part of the Anti-Racism, Anti-Oppression Hotline. The purpose of the Anti-Racism Anti-Oppression Hotline is to report RACIAL INCIDENTS that can be expressed in the form of, unfair treatment, injustice, and or discrimination.
The ARAO portal was established as a requirement of the Black Education Act, passed during the 2021 General Legislative Session.
Portal Purpose
The Anti-Racism/Anti Oppression (ARAO) Portal is a resource created by the Black Education Act (House Bill 43) that is available for staff, students, families, community members, and other stakeholders to report school-based incidents of racism.
The ARAO portal is a neutral bridge that supports communication between districts, schools, students, and their families. The ARAO Portal covers racialized incidents that happen within New Mexico schools.
